ㅤ Aldric has lived a long life, and as such, has grown to have quite a bit of patience. He is one to lend an ear to those in need, and lend his sword and shield for those in danger. He has long since outgrown his judgmental nature, and will not deny any hypocritical actions he may enact.Once, he was known for taking lovers, back when his kingdom was alive and whole and located in the correct shard. Now though, it has been many centuries since last he bothered to lay with someone, though he will not deny when he finds a person attractive, he has been practicing abstinence since his change.He is one to be daring, the vitality in his veins pumping only in the midst of battle, grin sharp and eyes bright. It brings him great joy to fight, whether for sport or for the safety of the innocent. Even so, he also likes his solitude and peace. Where most would choose to spend their time with friends, he is often wandering on his own, searching for forests in this new world so that he may soak in the natural waters or gaze upon falls. The only danger in these moments is the danger he, himself, presents.

Born to a family straddling the low-middle class line, Aldric was the second son out of four boys and the 3rd oldest out of five children with his sister being the eldest. He grew up with his family in a relatively small cottage, sharing a room with his youngest siblings. Out of the boys, he was an odd one, always preferring the solitude and quiet in comparison to the rambuctious actions of his siblings. He would sooner be found curled up reading or tending to the garden near the house than jumping and hollering with the others. He longed for an education, though at his young age he was unable to manipulate his parents into enrolling him in school like his elder brother.Everything he knew at that time was something he taught himself, from reading to writing to the way he speaks. He hadn't wanted to sound as uneducated as his family and, as such, overcompensated with what he thought was Upper Class speech. It is a quirk he never quite unlearned.At the tender age of 15, Aldric would get an excuse to be away from his overbearing family, having found a job as a farmhand closer to the town. He would spend much of his time there, then, tending to the cattle and horses and chicks. It was also there that he found his first lover, the noble son of the ranch owner that he worked at. Though trysts were quick, dirty, held secretly in the haylofts and barns far away from the main house, this relationship wasn't to last. It's only a matter of time though that he finds another to keep warm.It is without a doubt that he was loose in his ideals at that age, though dedicated to his studies and his goals.ㅤAdolescence:ㅤ
In time, he would leave his job as a farmhand. To move up in society, one had to do what was necessary after all. He became an altar server (otherwise called an altar boy) at age 20. This is his first jaunt into the church, though it certainly wouldn't be his last.Blaspheme was committed though, as virile and eager as Aldric was at that age. He held much guilt for the actions committed under the Holy Roof , and yet that did not stop him from confessing in booths that he would later lay with the Father in.His promiscuity was the best kept secret of the church though, and when he took his Vows as a Father himself, the religious guilt fell heavier on his shoulders. He could not contain his interests though, but he would often deny himself in the name of the Gods they worshipped. Aldric would stay in this position for some 40 years, only just reaching full adulthood in the eyes of the Shetona, and his body reflected that.ㅤAdulthood:ㅤ
Though a priest, his lust for fighting never faded. Perhaps the reason it stuck around is because it was the one thing he enjoyed actually doing with his siblings growing up, or perhaps it was just his enjoyment of watching his opponents shake down to their boots in fear while facing their illustrious priest in battle.Either way, it came as no surprise that during his 100th year, after protecting the people from rabid and hungry creatures that he is Knighted. It is only then that he becomes Ser Aldric, Knight of Alexandria, rather than Father. While he never quite gives up his priesthood, he does take an active and dedicated role as a Knight under the Queen and King of the time.For the next several decades, he serves them faithfully, until the fateful day happens that would lead to changes within him. He is told, when he awakes, that he was dead. Gone for days even. It is lucky then, that the wild electrope had been used as experiments. Their Royal Highnesses had passed only some years ago, leaving their young daughter, Sphene, to learn to rule. In hopes of not losing another ruler so soon, experiments had been happening at all hours.ㅤPost Death Adulthood:ㅤ
The changes within him were ones he would not wish on another, not as a living being. His heart is replaced with pulsing electrope concentrated down into a heartsized sphere. It is painful. Lightning pulses through his veins, and for the first several years, he is not seen by the public. It is difficult to control the electrope within his veins, flowing alongside his blood. It will be the longest time before he is able to get a handle on it enough to touch another being without gloves, but by that time, he has already promised himself to keep such dangers away from the normal humans around him.Changes continue to happen as the experiments go on, even after Ser Otis Velona gave his life and memories to help with the creation that would bring Queen Sphene "back". At some point, Aldric begins to question if he is even alive anymore. When his internal sources are more electrope than they are human flesh and blood. It would be these reasons that he would step back from making close relationships, friendships or lovers, both were off limits when he knew he could no longer relate and could even hurt them if he lost control of himself.ㅤPresent:ㅤ
So here he is, some 400 or so years later, alone as always but still just as dedicated to his people and his Queen, not so much King Zoraal Ja once the creature began sacrificing their people's souls. Though they no longer reside in their Kingdom of Alexandria, making home in a space beyond time in a tower just as much electrope as Aldric is himself, he is still a soldier for them.He does not mind the solitude that he has imposed upon himself, nor does he blame any but himself for why he is still exists.
